Taking our 3 Scottie Kids

Hi everyone!
We have 3 adorable Scottish Terrier doggies that we want to take over with us.
We are very much aware what the costs will be and also the fact that it is extremely difficult to find rental homes that will allow pets.
We have had sleepless nights over this... we simply can not leave them behind!!!! We don't have children, but our 3 dogs are like our children.
We love them to bits. We have tried to think of possible friends / family that we can leave them with - but we really don't have that option available to us, and to give them to strangers would break our hearts! 
Is there any advice that anyone can give on how to find a rental home / specific areas where we are more likely to find pet friendly rental homes / anything we can do from our side to make this move possible?
We are truly desperate!

Three dogs?!?!

My advice, if you are bringing three dogs, is to leave them behind. When you are settled in New Zealand, buy your own house first, then bring them over. Its the only way I can think of.

When are you coming and where will you live?

I think your only hope would be to find a lifestyle block rental or a house in a more rural location - 3 dogs are going to be a big issue I'm afraid.

Yes, you would definitely have to consider country living, a long way from any of the cities or major towns. 

I want to sell my house and move to a small town not far from where I currently live.  But I suspect I may have to rent for a short time if the sale and subsequent buy do not marry up.  I've been mulling getting an animal for nearly a year now, but I wont do it because I know it will be practically impossible to accommodate if I rent.

Dan, we do not yet know where we will be living - will all depend on where we find jobs. We plan on making the move early next year.

 :-\Hi,  I know exactly how you are feeling.  I brought my two small dogs with me in spite of people telling me I was crazy.  I am so glad I did. 
 Yes it is expensive and stressful.  Yes it is hard to find a rental that will allow dogs, but they are there.  Not in a city, I agree, but in a small town or, as people have suggested, rural.
