Please read this and give me your thoughts on this.

an email sent to a forum member regarding the quarantine period in NZ.  Is there anybody that has used them and this seems to be the opposite of what I have read before.

This was posted on the 23rd so it is resent info.  Like Nolan I want to take my dog but I get it over my hart to let her stay so long in quarantine in a strange country.

Don't see why the animals have to go to Australia first.  ON ENZ it says animals comiing from SA have to be on QUarantine for 120 days.  So send your pets direct?

Badprop, it would be pretty expensive and a real round-a-bout way of bring your pets to NZ. Firstly NZ quarantine is 120 days and Oz is 210 days, then you have the extra cost of flying your dog from Oz to NZ, then you can also not visit your dog unless you intend flying to Oz to do it.

Much better to go the normal route of sending the dogs to NZ, using Keringa or Kookebura.

Argh Nolan it is breaking my heart, she is 11years old and such a gentle soul. 

When I was single and only had a single bed we shared the bed.  She insisted on lying with her head on my pillow, then in the middle of the night she would stretch her legs and I would end up on the floor
Ya think they will notice a border collie in my handbag?
