Here is an update on my dogs - two weeks before they were supposed to leave the vet at Keringa examined them and discovered my one dog had a skin infection which after a biopsy turned out to be a genetic skin disease. They were allowed to leave on the original date and Keringa sent them off to the airport where when they were loading the dogs the guy driving the forklift to load the crates on the plane dropped the crate with one of the dogs in. The driver from Keringa saw this happen and insisted on taking both dogs off the flight and off to the vet in Kempton Park they went for a full examination and went back to Keringa for the night. They were put on the next plane the following day. Keringa were great and we recieved reports from Quantas and the loading company as well as the vet.
They finally arrived in NZ on Friday night and we went to visit on Sunday - They were looking good and very happy and settled at the kennels. I am very pleased that the flight part is over and am hoping to visit again tomorrow with a bag of treats. There were alot of SA dogs in the quarantine kennels from SA and 12 left on the flight mine were on.
They have nice beds with blankets on in the kennels and the run is not a bad size for two small dogs. Not sure about the other size runs as they don't want you walking around and upsetting the other pets there.
